Initial screening
A complimentary screening is preliminary only. It is not an appraisal, engineering opinion, arborist report, legal opinion, permit approval, guarantee of usable lumber yield, or promise that a buyer or provider will accept a project.
Independent providers
Root2Room is designed as a tree-reuse planning and referral service. Independent providers perform tree removal, hauling, milling, drying, storage, fabrication, flooring, installation, and other specialized or regulated work. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Root2Room does not perform that work itself and does not assume responsibility for a provider's performance.
Direct contracting
Customers select, contract with, and pay independent providers directly. Provider proposals, licenses, insurance, warranties, schedules, and work methods are the responsibility of the provider and customer.
Permits, ownership & authority
By submitting a project, you represent that you have authority to make the inquiry regarding the property or tree. The property owner and professionals performing the work are responsible for determining and satisfying applicable permits, protected-tree requirements, wildlife restrictions, utility requirements, HOA rules, quarantines, and other legal obligations.
Natural material
Wood is a natural material. Milling and drying can reveal checking, staining, rot, insects, embedded metal, tension, movement, or other conditions that were not visible while the tree was standing. Recovery and finished yield cannot be guaranteed from photographs alone.
